Personal connections through human interactions are greatly underappreciated in the world of marketing. How often have you been influenced by a family member or friend from a positive experience that they have had? They might have attended a live show and been blown away by the event’s production and attention to detail. From the moment they walked and grabbed a complimentary bag of popcorn, to the actual showtime experience, they could not stop talking about their wonderful experience. And, of course, what is the first thing that they’re going to do? Tell everyone about it! Word of mouth marketing is far more powerful than any social media post, ad, or email that you can ever create.
Ambassador programs or in ATS terms a “reciprocal membership” can be easily set up in the Agile Ticketing Solutions software. for retail products, gyms, or vacation destinations work very similarly to how you would set up a ticket ambassador program for your business.
Let’s talk about how it works. If your patrons register for your event, a unique code and registration link will be created that they can directly share with their friends. This makes them an ambassador and they are incentivized for each registrant that uses their link and code to register. The event organizer can even decide how much money is earned per each personal code/link sharing. Ambassadors can only earn as much money as the cost of registration. That way you, the event organizer, are never in the negative.

People often trust what their friends say rather than what a brand they don’t have a personal connection with. There are benefits of having your attendees promote your event for you, such as saving money on traditional marketing and advertisement to make your event even more successful.
It’s simple to set up and manage
To qualify as an ambassador, all the attendee has to do is register for the event. So, not only are you getting more registrants but you are incentivizing future attendees to do the same. Your ambassador program will spread by word of mouth quickly while you sit back and enjoy the benefits!
There are multiple types of reciprocal memberships that you can set up.
Agile Ticketing Solutions clients such as, Montgomery Zoo, and Art House Convergence have partnerships with member organizations so that if you have a Belmont Theatre membership and you show up for a show at the Coolidge Theatre you can get discounts on tickets, popcorn, etc. Most reciprocal membership are managed by larger organizations (i.e. Association of Zoo’s and Aquariums manages a reciprocal program). This allows your patrons to enjoy the boutique theatre experience even when they are traveling.
